Privacy Policy

This policy discloses the privacy practices for the Measure the Future project. This policy applies solely to the information collected by Measure the Future Sensor units.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

The statistics and other information collected by Measure the Future Sensors is the property of the library that has purchased or built said sensors. The Measure the Future project will only collect information about the usage of the sensors themselves for warranty purposes, and will never collect data regarding the library and its users without permission.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.

Patron Information

While we use industry standard security to protect information collected by the Measure the Future sensors, we are not responsible for intrusion into your installed devices by third parties, nor for any data extracted by said third parties. We have architected the systems in such a way as to limit the amount of personally-identifiable information that could be extracted, but are not responsible for customizations or changes other than those approved by the Measure the Future project.

The sensors do not, under normal usage, store photographs or video, except for a single image collected during calibration of the sensor. Installation instructions direct users to ensure that this calibration image does not have any individuals in frame, but Measure the Future is not responsible the contents of calibration images unless calibration was performed by Measure the Future staff. The sensor collects visual data but does not save images or video to disk, and images are never made available to Measure the Future users.

Updates

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.
