This is not really surprising. No other company has been able to create a viable alternative to the iPad yet. Everything is either grossly expensive, or not very functional. We may see some shift with Kindle Fire, but I think it'll probably still be a year or more before we get any real competition in tablet land.

I agree, but have been criticized in the past for saying that there it's really an iPad market, not a tablet market. Nothing else is even in the same ballpark.
